Today we had several students share artifacts from where their families have come from. If your child has not brought in an artifact yet they are encouraged to bring an artifact. 

We also did fact family art this afternoon. Ask me about how we made our fact family art.


1) Field Trip forms/volunteer: Field trip from for Reader Rock Garden where sent home today. Please return them by Monday June 5th. We are only able to take a limited number of volunteers so if you would like to volunteer please email Ms. MacDonald.  I will draw your name next Wednesday from all available volunteers.

2) Scholastic book order: forms where sent home today. This is a great opportunity to purchase some books for summer reading. Please pay online and return your order forms by June 7th.

3) Home Reading/Learning Commons books: All home reading books are due back at school. Any students with outstanding books from the Learning Commons are asked to return these books by June 2nd. 

June
1 - Sports Day:TThursday afternoon students at Royal Oak School will be participating in our annual Sports Day. Our theme for this year will be 'Your Favourite Sports' so we are asking students to wear a jersey of their favourite sports team or their Royal Oak School Shirt for that day. We are also encouraging all students to bring a water bottle. After our events in the afternoon students will be treated to a snack of watermelon provided by parent council.
